Boat Licence Course

Our boat licence training course commences after the boating online content has been completed. The boats course takes a few hours for the practical training and assessment. As we only have one class a day, its your day. The boat licence course underpins both the boat and jetski training with time spent observing the cardinal markers, port, starboard and special markers around Runaway Bay approaching the Gold Cost Seaway. Obtaining a great value (rather than cheap) licence service is about getting the most out of your day on the water. Whether you interest is boats or jetskis, it is important to understand the traffic dynamics on the Gold Coast. People on our waterways may hold a PWC licence that they obtained 40yrs ago, before PWC licences existed, their is no revision required of exisiting drivers and although most Jetski drivers operate safely on the water, many are a bit rusty on keeping starboard, or passing port to port in general. If you appreciate the mix of drivers and skills held, its a always a great day out on the water. Oh yeah, how many struggle with just spelling licence, license, licensing and licencing. Lol.

Jetski  Licence Course

A Jetski licence is available as an add-on to Boat (RMDL) licence holders. It can be done on the same day as a Boat Licence. Please check with Qld Transport if you hold an interstate boat licence (NSW and VIC as an example) to ensure that you are able to add the Jetski licence to your current Qld licence. If you are uncertain, Qld Transport is the only place to get a definitive answer.
The Jetski course allows students to get licensed to ride a PWC or Jetski. On the practical training and assessment day we will get you to drive our near new SeaDoo GTX170, one of the highest selling Jetskis on the market, where you will perform a series of manoeuvres both fast and slow for your competency assessment. In addition we will provide you with advice on any manoeuvres that might help you develop as a better driver. That way you can practice on your own after the course to become an even better driver.
You trainers have ridden, Standup jetskis, older waverunners, Yamaha, Kawasaki and SeaDoo PWCs, 2 stroke, supercharged and normally aspirated with experience riding skis in surf, tight mangrove tracks as well as riding with precious cargo… kids.
We look forward to you learning to enjoy Jetskis as much as we do.
